OpenEDMS Portal

The OpenEDMS Portal is an online environmental data management system designed primarily to meet the needs of U.S. Federal environmental programs. Its development is informed by the data management requirements, business processes, and technical standards of the Department of the Army, Air Force, Navy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The platform supports environmental projects and installations by providing a centralized environment for managing, accessing, and sharing environmental data, with configurations tailored to individual projects or installations.

Unlike traditional commercial data management platforms, OpenEDMS is designed without per-user licensing fees or charges based on bandwidth, data storage, or individual applications and functionality. This provides participating organizations with access to the capabilities they need without the licensing constraints and incremental costs commonly associated with conventional platforms.

Breakwaters off Iroquois Point, one of twenty military family housing neighborhoods at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii impacted by the 2021 jet fuel release at the nearby Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. The resulting drinking water contamination prompted an extensive environmental response by the Navy and its partner agencies.

After logging into the portal, each database lists a primary support contact on the dashboard. Users may also contact general support for assistance between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time.
